Another Project

Okay, so we've got this strip of yard on the side of our driveway that we've been fighting with for the last oh nearly 3 years... I finally decided I was DONE weeding it every 3 or 4 days each summer. I will weed NO MORE!!!!

So last week I had an extra day off work and I began a relandscaping project.

First I had to weed the whole thing which took FOREVER. Then I had to take out all the plants I planted about 2 months ago. Nate hated them...

I put in a border so we could fill the area with mulch and not have it spilling out onto the driveway. We put in this new fence earlier this summer and got a few more inches of our property back, but that also meant we got a few inches of our neighbor's grass as well ;) Thanks Muhlesteins!!


I knew I wanted to put weed barrier down (that's the black stuff) and at home depot they had a great sale on shrubs. We got these dogwoods for $2.50 each!! AMAZING. So we put in 12 or so along the fence line.

Halfway down the driveway we put in stepping stones to give Nate a place to step when he gets out of his truck.

We're ALMOST done (by we I mean I, Nate's been too busy with work to help). I have one more stepping stone to lay then the back 8 feet needs a few more plants but it's so close I can taste it and it looks AMAZING! :)
