After we took down the horrid wood panelling the walls were in pretty bad shape. We used a texture paint for the top and decided to cover the bottom half with wainscoting and I'm so glad we did. It turned out better than I imagined. Nate did such an awesome job! We even had to use a completely different piece of wainscoting for one side because we didn't buy enough and when we went back they had stopped selling them! You cant tell at all.
We had to separate the paint colors with trim, and of course add a "chair rail" to the top of the waintscoting and baseboards. I'm proud to say Nate picked these out by himself and they look great... especially with our french posters.
So there's the finished product. Our black table which was left behind by the previous owners as an ugly oak table. I painted it black. Oh and we got blinds up on the big window! Doesn't the floor look fabulous? So much better than before!

And today we went to Tai Pan to find things to put on top of the cupboards. We bought some great stuff but not all of it fit up there so that's still a work in progress!
We still need a new countertop, sing and faucet. And a cabinet to put our microwave on but THAT'S IT! I can't believe we've gotten this far though! How nice to have our very own style kitchen!!!!
